Keep an eye on Tilly's nest, Everyone, if you want to see those BFF kits. Tilly is due to deliver tomorrow. She is sleeping restlessly and her tummy is well swollen. Sorry, Shadoe, I wasn't able to post the link correctly ... can't see well enough to get all the characters written properly. In Darlene's post "Tilly BFF", you'll find the link that will take you to Tilly's cam. I checked a while ago, and Tilly seems to be just sleeping. Hugs to you for posting the link to the BFF, Robin. Tilly sure is taking her time in delivering those kits of hers. Her tummy is pretty swollen and I don't think it's all from overeating. LOL Can't wait to see those new little BFF kits. Hugs, Greta

I just checked on Tilly again. It's difficult for me to determine her position with my poor vision, as there's so much white on white. I saw no movement except for Tilly's breathing and am wondering now if Tilly has had a phantom pregnancy. Her due date was two days ago. Does anyone know if a phantom pregnancy can result with artificial insemination? Hugs, Greta

I think it's very possible Greta...Even with natural breeding of ferrets phantom pregnancies happen quite alot.. Says right in the box above the cam that very few inseminations result in kits.. I have been watching her tummy closely since Monday..And I have yet to see baby movements.. I saw them all the time last year with Georgia.. So I don't know.. I know Heather said when Bella was due that the vets don't like the Mom to go more then two days over due..
This is two days... So I wonder what is going to happen if she doesn't have kits today..
Tilly was gone for quite awhile this morning..Don't know what that was about..

She is laying flat on her back right now and either that is heavy breathing or maybe some movement

I wonder what is going on with her. She was outside about 10 minutes ago and poking the top half of her body in and digging furiously. Did this several times and now she is gone again. I haven't seen anything that looks like babies moving in her tummy. From what I have read if it is a phantom pregnancy they go through phantom labor too and have to have a stuffed animal in for them to love. |
