HOMECOMING
I looked through the small bars and seen you there.
Curled up in a ball with your sable brown hair.
You perked right up and twitched your nose,
and smelled the air as if it were a rose.
You looked at me as if to say
"Please take me home I'd like to play"
And that I did
I took you home
With many large rooms for you to roam.
Your little antics they made me laugh.
and the best one yet is when I gave you that bath.
I dried you off and kissed your nose.
Then set you down....you nipped my toes!
Then you ran and ran, you ran so fast
OH ME....OH MY.......I caught you, at last.
You must be tired, it's time for bed,
so here is your hammock to rest your sweet head.
A beautiful Angel, you are so sweet, you ran straight to my heart with your little fur feet.

What was that noise?
You look at me....such grace...such poise!
So proud you are, of what you just broke.
It was my collector Edition bottle of Coke.
Oh my goodness, little one, what have you done!

Houdini
My Ferret knows magic,
I know she does.
Houdini in disguise,
all dressed in fuzz.
I have proof and that I do.
I swear, no lie, it's really true!
I heard a crash,
I ran to see what it was,
searched around the room, no where was my fuzz.
POOF, KABAM, she DID disappear.
Then down by my feet, she DID re-appear.
Another example, I swear it's true.
You got to believe me, really you do!
Abracadabra,
She can make stuff dissappear.
My wallet, my make-up, my hand-held mirror!
It was just in my purse.
I'm NOT lying.....I swear!
YES you see......She's my little houdini all covered in hair.

You thought I was sweet when you bought me that day,
I am still really sweet,
why do you want to give me away?
Do you not love me anymore?
Like that day when you saw me,
in the pet store.
You promised you’d love me.
and I STILL love you.
But please will you tell me,
what did I do?
Oh please won’t you tell me , did I ask for too much?
some love, some food, some toys and such.
Please, I beg of you,
don’t give me away.
I promise tomorrow
will be a brand new day.
I’ll be good, I don’t know
what I’ve done bad.
Don’t you remember all the fun and
good times we had?
I know I’m old and I’m tired a lot.
But PLEASE don’t tell me that you love me not.
Is it because I’m sick, and frail, and ailing,
and the waters ahead are not smooth sailing?
My familiar surroundings I’d like to stay.
Please I beg of you don’t give me away.
I’m hurting inside
you're breaking my heart.
Among all my ailiments,
now I have to restart.
A new home, new people, new surroundings you see.
I beg of you, don’t do this to me.
You say I’m a burden and don’t want me no more.
But please don’t send me out OUR front door.
I promise I’ll try to pass quietly.
But please don’t confirm, you no longer love me.
My last days here can I please be with YOU.
