Grandma is out of the ICU, but is still in the hospital. The reason she went in was because she hadn't had a bowel movement in a few weeks, and was"backed up".....to the point where it was poisoning her body. They think she may have had a heart attack on top of everything else, possibly caused by the toxins building up.
The family up here isn't too happy with the family in West Virginia. They are supposed to be taking care of Grandma, and obviously aren't doing a very good job of it. My friend said when they got down there to visit, Grandma's stomach was so distended it looked like she was pregnant with triplets. Her blood pressure was very low, and her organs were starting to shut down. She is very lucky that my friends went down to see her when they did, because if they hadn't she probably would have died. That's how bad she was. If she makes it out of the hospital, they are going to probably end up putting Grandma in a nursing home so she can get the care she needs. (The last time she was in the hospital was about 3 months ago. The family let her get so dehydrated she almost died that time. So obviously she needs more care than she is getting)
Thank you all for your prayers. I will continue to keep you updated as I hear more.

How that sad, very sad. Poor Grandma I hope now, she is in good hands and will stay in good hands when she will leave the hospital. Thank you for the update. Love to both of you.

I guess she took a turn for the worse overnight. They are now talking about putting her on life support. So it's not looking good for her at this point. I wish things were better between me and my ex-bf so I could reach out to him. But it was his choice to cut me out of his life. He was my friend as well as my bf. And as much as he hurt me, I still care deeply for him. I know this has to be hard for him, and my heart goes out to him.

Oh my, Spacy, Your last post does not bring tood tidings. I will intensify my prayers for Grandma and for both you and Jim. I pray and hope that Grandma will recover completely and carry on with her life whether in the nursing home or elsewhere. You're such a sweet, loving person to care so much when Jim hurt you so badly, Dear.
This brings to mind when my sister had my mom put into an adult foster care facility. When I stopped by to visit mom, she complained of being 'stopped up.' Mom said all the nurse at the facility would do was order more prunes at mom's meals. I snuck her in a couple of Dulcolax (a stool softener) and within a day mom's problems were solved. Mom was 86 y/o when this happened. Hugs, Greta

Just thought I'd let you know that Jim's Grandma is out of the hospital. She is doing real good. I guess she's pretty much back to her normal self. So thank you all for your prayers! I guess they also found out that his Aunt Sharon, who they thought had lung cancer, doesn't have it. She just has scar tissue in her lungs, and that was causing all her problems.
