[glow=red,2,300][/glow]Will we have been haveing this 2-3 month old femail squirrel commnig around. I alway put peanuts out for them. I was sitten outside and this little gril came up she didn't really run too far from me. So I started to put the peanuts close to my hand and she came up and took one. So this morning I got up and looked out the bed room window: I started to make that clicking noise like P.J. does, she just tryed to find out how to get too the window. lol So I got dressed grabed my coffee and the peanuts out I went. I did that noise again and here she comes. So looked at me like who are you, you sound like a squirrel but you are way too be for 1.! So jumped up on the railing and my hand was there it took her a few min. but she finely grabbed one and ran. Came back for another, and another one. So about the 4 th time I held on in my hand on my lap and showed her where it was at. She steped on my leg and got the peanut. when she came back I help my hand open with the nut inside the middle of my plam. She sniffed at my hand kinda did a lit. love bit to my finger it didn't hurt at all. Than she took the nuts. Oh man I was so excided about that this was the first time in my life that a wild animaml ever took any food out of my hand. I came in to give up both a brake she has been back since. I have to get some work done frist. I just wanted to shair with everyone. I always enjoyed PJ's stories about his squirrels so if he can get one to come too him maybe I can too, and I did. Have a wonderfull blessed day. Love and God bless. Sheila

We had that happen with some wild ducks. When we lived on our boat in NC there was a pair of ducks that came to the marina every morning. Every morning they came for their snack. As time went on I did the same thing. I'd put the food closer and closer until they finally came up on the dock. After a few more days they'd take the treat from my hand then run. Then they got to where they'd take their snack and stay around for more. I went out on morning to feed them and found them standing on the back deck of the boat. There was a window beside my head when I laid in bed. One morning I got woke up by the sound of something pecking on the window. When I pulled back the curtain I was surprised to see the two ducks standing there looking at me. No long after that they quit coming around for a while. Then one day I saw them swimming toward our boat . . . with their ducklings following behind. They stayed long enough to get their treat and then swam away. We never say them again after that day. We like to think that they just stopped by to show us their new family!!!

We have several families of quail that come for breakfast and dinner on our back patio. If we're not out there to throw them a handful of food when they're here, they'll peck on the window and squawk at us. Most of the other birds will run away when the door slides open, but the quail all come a'running.
