There is something in the cage with her. It is in the bottom of the nest in the far corner. When I first saw it earlier this afternoon, it was in the near corner at the bottom of the nest. I'm not sure what it is, but she has been pushing it around and chewing on it. Right now she is curled up in the other end of the nest.

I've been checking on Tilly too, several times a day lately, gf. Yes, I noticed something too which I wasn't able to identify, at the front of the nest just a bit right of center. Tilly is asleep at the top right of the viewing window. Could it be that the Zoo has finally switched cams and this is the promised BFF mom with a kit that was to have replaced Tilly? The object I've been looking at did not appear to be moving, though. Hugs, Greta

That was my first thought Greta, but I don't think so. Not the way the fert was going after it, pushing it around and biting it. I am wondering if that is some kind of "game" and they are getting ready to release her into the wild?

It looks like a chew toy of some sort.

Remembering what Reanee and I saw when we were at Louisville for the BFF forum... they give hunks of prairie dog ( frozen ) and pieces of chicken. It is possible that Tilly is chomping on something like that.

I thought that too Kathy, but there are 2 things in there now, and 1 is definitely furry, looks like Black and white, the other 1 I have no idea.

It could be a weanling rat. I used to give those to Sara's snake. You get them already frozen at the pet store.

I just took another look at Tilly and don't see anything in the nest except her now. Makes me wonder if those were food items of some sort and they've been removed to avoid Tilly eating spoiled meat. Hugs, Greta

I paid a visit to Tilly and there is nothing in her pen. She was rather active preening herself. It wouldn't surprise me if they do have her on a diet of "frozen pinkies".

I know that they give her mice from time to time ... last time I saw one, I thought that it was her baby, ok it was not a pinkie, but a big mouse with fur and alive !!!!!

I just came from viewing Tilly and she is all over the nest. It appears to me that she is wrestling with something in her digs, but because of my compromised vision, I'm unable to determine what, if anything, it is. Hugs, Greta

I jusst checked on Tilly and the nest is completely empty. It looks as if it's just been cleaned and there's no sign of anything there except for the nesting material. Tilly must be enjoying her morning excursion through the tubes. LOL Hugs, Greta
