Well it took time, but I crossed my fingers that she'll have (ok maybe for the last time as we don't know) the long coat that she used to have ! OK Heidi I haven't noticed that she was smiling at all LOL I remember that one of when she was a baby though !!! Here's for you : Linda XXX

Rose has started to shed 2 weeks ago, she has lost mostly all her undercoat, she is not very pretty, but the hairs are growing back, I really cross my fingers for now as I don't know what to expect with the implant ! so no pic of Rose for a while .... I'll still get pics of her face for you when I'll have a chance don't worry LOL here she is with her heart of the ocean toy ...

Thank you Marie, I really hope that she'll get all her hairs back, otherwise she seems to be in great shape, I can tell because she loves to tease the boys !!! LOL Now you'll have to tell me about yours Did the new Lupron from the Jean Coutu works as well as the one from your vet ? I think of Nahum & Bear often too ... I sure hope that they are both doing well .... I try to find an update on the board ...

Oh I am bad to not have update you more. Yes the Lupron from Jean Coutu has worked really perfectly. Even Bear has had all his fur back ! It was really less expensive like this, and I was good for 3 months for my 2 boys for 500mcg monthly depot.
Now : Nahum and Bear have their implant too. That makes 24 days for Nahum and 10 days for Bear. Nothing worse, nothing better ... my 2 boys are the same.
The only thing who are very noticeable, is that Nahum has his fur becoming grey and dark grey, he was totally white, but he regain his primary color...

Oh many thanks for the update Marie, I'm so happy to know that your vet has been able to get some implants for your kids !!! I sure hope it works for them, I keep your precious kids in my thoughts and prayers. Yes I had read somewhere once that ferrets colors can change a lot, that's very strange and they don't know why, oh now I just can't wait to see Nahum's new coat !!!

Linda, first off, it was a joy to hear from you in replying to my post. It's been quite a while. I do remember the awful difficulties you had a few years ago with your ferrets. It was heartwrentching. May I say, your little gal..... excuse me big gal is quiter a looker! I've never seen a three pounder gal! That's a whole lotta female! lol Thank God for lupron and melatonin implants. They are a Godsend when surgery isn't an option. I'll be looking for more of your posts. All my best, Larry

Larry, now how can I forget someone like you ! I'm so very happy to see you here at Ferret again !!! The Rose has always been a big girl LOL ok I'm late with my reply because I was looking for pics for you : Rose in May 07, at 6 1/2 and 7 months old, she didn't have her Bat mask though and her hairs were much longer too ! Rose has got a Suprelorin (Deslorin) implant last February, it seems to be the new hope for Adrenal disease, much cheaper than Lupron and much more effective they say, however for the Rose, I'm still not convinced. I'll try to find my old thread so you'll be able to read it all ! ok here's the thread if you want to read : ferretfamily.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=297
