Today's update on Itty

Hi Everyone, This morning when I lifted Itty from the sleep sack where she was resting, my little girl was all floppsy once more. I carried her into the dining room where her treatment station was set up on the table there. Itty drank a little water and then managed part of an iced teaspoonful of watery baby food meat, cream and water mixture. I gave her the pred, carried my baby to the potty pad and then held her for a long while. Itty did use the potty pad with a smail result. When I set Itty down she headed under the couch again. I waited one hour and something told me to check the bedroom first. There was Itty, asleep in the small carrier under the desk. She had made her way along the length of the hallway to access the bedroom. Praise God! This time Itty filled up on water and ate a generous amount of concentrated duck soup from a soup dollop I had thawed for her. Then back into the bedroom for more rest. Later, when mommy checked on her little girl again for another feeding, Itty was just entering the plastic bag I gave my kids to play in. I carried her back into the dining room where she once again filled up on a generous helping of the concentrated duck soup mixture, but she would not drink any water, no mater how hard I tried to coax her to do so. I managed to get some subQ under Itty's skin before her struggling told me to stop. Then I held her again for a looooong cuddle and returned her to the bedroom. All in all I'd say both Itty and mommy are having a very good day. And I haven't been neglecting Ozzie either. Only my boy won't let me hold him for more than a minute or two. Mommy GG

Thanks for these updates. I know it may be painful to write, but it is greatly appreciated as we never know who it might help in the future

Since the vet told me yesterday to give Itty whatever she would eat except for too much cream, which is a carbohydrate, i counted out 25 Innova kibble from Toby's bag of dog food. This evening at Itty's bedtime I found she had eaten 10 of the kibble and was helping herself to a hefty drink of water from her water bowl. I didn't worry about my baby not eating well from her duck soup this evening as I knew she was full. I just dosed her with prednisone and tucked her into bed. Itty's tummy was shaved for the Ultra Sound a week ago, and that little belly is so soft and sweet. Can hardly tell she's been shaved there, as her skin is the same color as the surrounding fur ... creamy. LOL Mommy GG

I'm glad to see that you posted about Itty....that was my first thought when I logged onto this board"Wonder how Itty is doing?"She had a good day.....may she have many more.
