I went in tonight about midnight to check on my hamster, since I didn't hear her running... and she had passed away sometime this evening... don't know when. She was fine this morning. She was 3 years old. Guess she just couldn't hold on anymore... I can't stop crying.... She was my first little fur baby. I miss her so. It's hard not hearing that wheel squeeking like crazy. My heart is broken. Completely.
RIP Daisy June 2006 to June 2009

I'm sorry to hear about your hamster. Their life span is much too short. When I was a child I had hamsters as pets. I remember going to the store and carrying one in my upper coat pocket. He was so cute as her would peep his head out of my pocket to check out the world.
3 years is a nice life for such a wee little one. Sorry she had to leave you

I know you miss your little girl, and I'm so, so sorry you lost her, gf. When my daughters were young girls still living at home, hamsters were among the many pet speciies that graced my home. They are adorable little creatures. Hugs to you. Love, Greta

Hamsters are adorable pets but have shorter life spans than our ferrets. My sons had them for pets many years ago...Greta & Gretchen...they got out of their cage(squeezed through thebars) one day(lived in a big ole farmhouse) and we never found them. We missed them especially when we let them out to play in the playroom and never got any more of them. (((hugs to you))))
