Lilys vet wasnt scheduled to avctually see her today but when she got her report from the vet tech she made a point to come see us! The smile on the vets face said it all! Lily is now (my scales were off) a whopping 1 pound 13 ounces!!!!!!!!!! LOL! The vet was so pleased that this little girl who was under a pound on the 30th of April has doen so increadibly well! To top it off her blood sugar is right on the spot Perfect! She still has some antibotics to finish but after that she will only be on the prednisone which she really doesnt seem to mind. I will be keeping her on the veterinary food for a while longer then we will gradually put her on the regular food my kids get. The meds are working and I am one happy rescuer! She is my little star. I love feeding her and careing for her. I ts all so worth while especially when she snuggles under my chin afdter her food. I really don't care that she gets her food all over my neck and face!LOL! I am going to slowly introduce her to the others but will not let her join in thier rough houseing. I so hope she will get along with Wilma. Even the vet says it would be good for her to have a cage partner now that she has her strength back and Wilma is the quietest. For now I am overjoyed!

I will keep eveyone updated. I have begun introducing her to Wilma very slowly . Yesterday it was sniffs while Mom held them both. A little each day.Wilma is finished her antibotics as of tonight so then she will only need her prednisone twice a day and her soup. I may bring Wilma down hereduring the day for a bit while they get used to each other so I can monitor them easier , and then I can take them up to my room when I go to bed.
