Ozone
May 8, 1997 - May 10, 1999
Ozone was very special to us as are all of our little ones. He came to us from a local pet store and was just 8 or so weeks old. He grew to be a very large boy and developed acute cardio-myopathy and was sent to the Rainbow Bridge by us 2 days after his second birthday. although he was very ill he never let it slow him down and continued to play until the day he left us. As hard as it was to send him we know that he was in pain and would be better off with his new friends . He was cremated and will forever be with us.

Leisure
Exact age unknown (approx 2 years)
Leisure was a Male Albino who was dropped off at the human society along with his 7 brothers and sisters all of which were whole and it was suspected they where being used as breeding pairs. About 6 months after he came to us he developed inoperable spleen tumors as well as an enlarged spleen and was layed to rest in order to prevent further pain. He is survived by his brothers and sisters some of which are still with us. And others are with new Human parents. And we suspect his Son Video which lives with us. He will be missed and loved forever.

Slinkey
1984 - 1985
Our very first ferret, who taught us so much. Like how easy it is to fall hopelessly in love with these wonderful little fuzzies. And how necessary it is to wear bells when they are free roaming.
Heidi (alias huronna)
Bandido
1985 - 1993
One of the last legally sold ferrets in Puerto Rico. He spent his first lunchtime with us in a Chinese resturant. He was is a box sitting on the table, and kept popping his head out of the box. Pop goes the weasel. His 8 years with us were totally healthy. He loved both the cat and the dog, and would go for many walks on a leash. What a conversation piece! We met more great friends when they asked "What is that?"
Heidi (alias huronna)
Dusty
1986 - 1994
Bandido needed a Buddy, and that's just what Dusty was. The sweetest flower in the world. She loved everything and everybody. She had been smuggled into the island and then not wanted. But was she ever wanted by us. Curious as a cat, she was. Her last 6 months were on a regiment of Lasix and Potassium suppliment as she was retaining fluid and beginning hair loss. She gently crossed over the bridge to find Slinkey and Bandido and has been playing ever since.
Heidi (alias, huronna)
Bandit
? - 1993
Adopted by us in 1988, Bandit's owners were at the vets trying to have him euthanized since they no longer wanted him. The vet said "NO! Call these people and see if they will give him a home first" What a silly question! There's always room for one more! He died of a stroke at age 8. After the stroke he was only with us for about 4 more hours, which was spent in our arms.
Heidi (alias, huronna)
Skippy
? - 1999
Adopted by us in 1994, Skippy was a marshmellow. The sweetest ferret you could ever meet. He was living alone when I met his owners. They asked if I would take him for a day to play with my ferrets since he'd never been with another ferret. When they took him home, it almost broke my heart. That night they returned with him, saying he wouldn't eat and was crying all the time. He has instantly fallen in love with my Silveretta. So from that night on, he was ours. In July 1998, Skippy was operated on for adrenal tumors, he crossed over the bridge 2 days later. He is sorely missed by not only us, but his favorite love, Silveretta.
Heidi (alias, huronna)
Bonnie
1996 - 1999
Bonnie was my little the hot place on wheels. She was an albino, very tiny, only about 1 pound soaking wet. She hated baths and would always chase after me to give me a bite for no apparent reason. She was knicknamed "phycho" woman because her mood would change just that fast. I miss her so much. She passed over the Bridge on August 21, 1999.
Monica
Bartles
1996 - 1999
Bartles was my first fuzzy. He was the best little fuzzy you could ever own. He liked to wrestle, play, and follow you around to see what was up. He was to much of a "man" to give kisses but showed his love in other ways. He passed over the Bridge on August 22,1999.
Monica
Yuki
1995 - 1999
Yuki came to me in September of 1999 as my first adoptee. She was so tiny and skinny and not much fur. Her first dad had allergies and was no longer able to care for her. I fell in love with her, she was such an underdog. She went in for adrenal surgery in November and came through with flying colors, and her fur grew back in so fast you could hardly find the stitches to remove them. She passed over the Bridge on December 16, 1999 due to kidney failure and cardiomyopathy. She is now home again watching over me and the rest of the business.

Boopboop aka BigBoyBoop
Approx. Late 1992/Early 1993 - November 10, 1998
My precious Big Boy Boop who I love so much. You certainly burrowed your way into the deepest part of my heart in your "weasel-like-way". Whenever I looked into your bright pink eyes I looked deep into your soul, just as you looked back into mine. We will forever have a very special and unique bond. All the love, joy, happiness and laughter you brought into my life is stored safely within my "Memory Box" which I bring out daily and sift through ever so gently. Your start in this life was hard and difficult, but you hung on, I believe waiting for me to come along. God sent you to me for a reason; but then after a few short years, God wanted you back. I guess I don't blame Him, but I feel it is not fair. But your reason for being here was finished and you were needed at the Bridge. I know you don't want me to be sad because you love me so, but I can't help it. Be happy, healthly, free of pain and whole again. Run and play and chase and dance and dig. Wait patiently for me, my precious Big Boy Boop who I love so much.

Taylor Muffin
Taylor was very fisty little girl. Loved to sneak up on people and nip when they were'nt looking. She was the second ferret we got on the road to love for the ferret in general. She passed away suddenly on fathers day of 98. She will be missed by our family and the ferrets that she left behind.
Pam and Ray
Minnie
Age unknown 3-4 yrs
Minnie came to us as a unwanted, skinny, but very happy ferret. Probably because she knew she was in hands. She was the sweetest ferret there ever was and so meek and frail. She passed away after a 2 year battle with insulanoma BLESS HER HEART FOR HANGING IN THERE SO LONG. We love you Minnie

Dara Queen
Age unknown 2yrs or so
Dara was another little girl that had the ability to steal even the coldest of hearts. Her timid way was loved and enjoyed by all. She was taken from us by an untimely fate. We now understands the meaning of the saying. Curiosity Killed the cat, but in this case it was the ferret. We are so sad that we were'nt there to save you when you needed us most.

Skeeter Ray
1995 - December 8, 1998
Skeet was our sweet boy. We called him Puff Daddy because his tail was so puffed after a bath. Skeeter had a very rare form of cancer. We took him for an operation in hopes of giving him another four months with us. He tried so hard to hang on until Christmas but just couldn't make it. We loved that little guy so much and still miss him. We will never forget his adorable face, puffy tail, and sweet disposition.
I have a picture of him in my Forever Ferret album.

Ariel
1993 - September 22, 1999
We didn't have Ariel very long, but it didn't take long to fall in love with her. Ariel was a petite little girl and was awfully cute. We did our best to save her from insulinoma but to no avail. We will miss her and her brother Chewey very much. We wish we had more time with Ariel and Chewey.
There is a picture of Ariel on my Forever Ferret album.

Chewey
1993 - September 8, 1999
Chewey was such a cutey. I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. We took in Chewey and his sister, Ariel, the same day. We never realized he was a sick little boy as was his sister Ariel. We took Chewey to the vets the day after Labor Day. We found out he had liver cancer. The cancer took his life very quickly. I wish we could have had more time with our sweet Chewey. Both Chewey and Ariel were taken away from us too soon. We miss them both very much.
There is a picture of Chewey on my Forever Ferret album.

Snickers
Feb. 20, 1997 - March 6, 1998
We got Snickers when he was 6 weeks old. We loved him the second we laid eyes on him. He was our fourth ferret and he loved to play with his 2 older sisters and 1 older brother. His favorite past-time was playing hide and go seek with his brother around the couch. He was diagnosed with severe lung cancer. He had already been through so much pain that we thought it best to put him to sleep. So on March 6, 1998 at the age of 1 year and 2 weeks to the day. Snickers Boucher was put to sleep. We had him cremated and now he rests forever on our tv. We love you Snickers and not a day goes by that you don't enter our minds.

Nala
January 2000 - February 24, 2000
A tragic loss of a sweet, loving, cute, and energetic young ferret. Nala (aka: Naly Bear, Nala Kawala) became part of our family in January 2000. She was the playmate and friend of Phoebe. Nala loved to chase around feet, hold on to socks, chase after the cat, climb in the refrigerator and anything else, and she loved being out of the cage and playing and sleeping in the sofa. On February 24, 2000 little baby Nala left us as she was sleeping under the sofa with her buddy Phoebe. An accident that was never anticipated took her from us as she and Phoebe were being checked on.
Little Naly Bear made a special place for herself in our hearts very quickly and I know that we were special in her heart as well.
May god keep her soul and hope that she is playing with all the little ferrets that have crossed the bridge as well
All my love, fridaylove
Rasta
1992 - 1999
I held you close to me that night, knowing you were leaving me,
The months and months I tried to cure your ills and make you so pain free,
But now you're gone, I carry on with tears the other fuzzies see,
We miss you so much, but daddy says your life is now filled with glee.
It will be a long time, I am sure my friend, until we meet again,
I feel so privledged to have been your care-taker, playmate and companion.
The thing that I look forward to when I get to that special place,
Is to see you run and dook my friend and feel the warmth of your fuzzy face.
Goodbye my sweet, sweet boy.
Rasta was a Marshall Farms ferret that lived to be almost seven years. His last five months were spent battling insulinoma. He passed over the bridge on November 4, 1999. This spring, we will have a memorial service and sprinkle Rasta's ashes under his favorite tree in the yard. Two ferret sculptures will mark his place. Both dad and mom miss you so much! You will always be my favorite.
