Little Lily is growing fast! I can see a difference in her already. This morning I didnt have to wake her for her 7 am meds. She got up as soon as she heard my voice saying goood morning to the dogs and cats. LOL! Best of all..........we now have Normal poops! It was off and on yesterday but over night and this am she has been normal. Thank goodness! The whole neighbourhood was running out of newspaper! I will give her some more time then put her litter box back in the cage or maybe just put litter in the whole bottopm of the cage . The floor of her cage is very slippery and her little legs slide right out from under her. After she is diareahha free for a week I willbath her and introduce her to Wilma our other little tiny girl who is also older and much quieter than the rest. She has a huge cage to herself. Today was the last day for her 7am meds so I can go back to getting up at 8 am. Its suprising how loosing that hour of sleep can burn you out. I may give her a bath tomorrow (shes a bit sticky and smelly) but will see how she is feeling first and if its warm enough. I am sure being clean will help her feel even better. Oh! For the food. We are keep ing her on the recovery for a bit longer and I am mixing it with softened kibble. I will make some new duck soup for her over the weekend for treat time only but wont use the ensure or pedialite. Shadoe

Each day there seems to be another step of improvement. You are doing great with her and it really sounds like she has come a long way.
I keep those baby wipe handy for when there is a little accident. I agree with you about nothing bathing her completely yet. She's had enough trauma up to now, but I think as you do it is soon time.
Keep up the good work Shadoe

Great news about Lily, GF! It sounds like you have an excellent plan for your new little girl as to introducing her to Wilma. Hopefully they'll be able to share that large cage. When Nada and Cinco were incontinent during their autumn days of life, I would bathe only their little hind parts by holding them under a warm stream of water coming from the bathroom sink faucet. If they were too sticky I'd apply just a little ferret shampoo and then rinse it off, after which I'd gently towel dry their wet parts. The baby wipes are a great idea too. Little Lily doesn't need too much change and stress in her daily routine right now. You're doing an excellent job of caring for this precious little Munchkin of yours, GF. Huggers, Greta

Thanks guys! TOday she is off one of the meds. The tummy one. SO htast helps my routine alot because she had that one two hours before she could have the others. So now med times are 9 am , 3 pm, and 9 pm. I am feeding her canned food with each medication time as well so she gets some extra even though she is eating on her own. I can really feel a difference when I pick her up. Shes heavier and you cant feel her ribs and back bone as much as before.
