I am taking Lily to the vte. We are paying for the initial exam and then they will apply to the Farley Foundation for her treatment cost. Keep sending those prayers that it isnt anything we can't deal with. In the meantime I emailed the previous owner to ask for all or a good portion of my money back to help with the vet costs. If the vet decides this is a case of neglect I WILL see the man charged. I jsut cannot see how he could not have know she was in trouble. How could he have let this go for so long? Will update you when I return. Shadoe

the unfortunate thing about neglected rescues is their previous owners usually don't care or are just in a blank about how to care for them. I doubt that they will helpp with the costs, it's just the nature of the beasts.
I hope there is nothing serious that good food and lots of loving care won't heal. Please keep us updated on LIly. She sounds like a real little sweetie

I hope little lily is okay. I have taken in many rescues like that and have found that once they give the little one up they are done and don't want to see or hear anything about them again. I had one little girl come to me losing hair she had been stepped on being kept in a very large iquana cage and fed cherrios as a treat. She was a good girl. She got good food clean water, baths, loving and lots of good sunlight, and guess what she gained weight and grew her hair back.........alas she was 3 1/2 when she came to me and she passed at 6 1/2 years. I believe that it was her poor treatment that cut her life with me....when they dropped her off they promised to check on her but they never did.... thank goodness..........did i mention that my vet recommened me to these people (I am glad that she did) Good luck in geting some help from the previous owner.......... cuddle lily for me prayers and sent to you both......... mommie laurie

I'm so glad you're taking little Lily to the vet, Girlfriend! And I hope there is nothing wrong with her that your tlc and good meals, fresh water, and consistent loving care won't cure. I am keeping you and little Lily in my prayers that God will take charge and Lily will gain back her weight, energy, strength and zest for life under His loving care. Loving hugs, Greta
