There are little graves beneath our old pear tree Where lie two precious dogs, and kitties-three. They were beloved pets while here below, They rest now where the Iris and Roses grow.
'Snoopy', 'Tom', and 'Puttie' are the kitties' names, When we called 'Booty' and 'Kristy', the little dogs came.
Sweet Snoopy was only a tiny thing, Didn't know what danger the road could bring.
No one knew where Tom came from When he arrived and decided to make "here" his home. He made my daughter Suzanne his special friend, Was gentle with her; otherwise, a "tough-cat" to the end.
Puttie was with us for twenty-one years, Old age claimed her one day, despite prayers and tears.
Booty and Kristy were of the Schnauzer line. Two better dogs would be hard to find. The two were so different, each had their own ways, Both were loved without question to the end of their days.
At Rainbow Bridge near Heaven's door The day will come when we meet once more. I know they are waiting and watching for me, Those two little dogs and the kitties-three.
