Ozzie's style of play is so different from what I've seen in my other four fur babies. My boy hides when he wants to play with Itty and then when Itty comes by he jumps out at her and pins her down to the floor. This results in my little girlie screeching for mommy to rescue her.
After reading about lorelei's male fuzzies loving to play 'Ambush,' I realize this is what my Ozzie boy has been doing. When Itty shows resistance to Ozzie's play method, he will turn on his back and offer her his tummy to jump on in submission to her. Itty has learned to be quick about it if she does decide to 'get even' with her brother. hehehe She bounces hard off Oz's tummy and then runs like the wind for the nearest, narrowest 'burrow' in which Ozzie is too chubby to follow her.
Now I'm wondering if this type of play my boy is exhibiting is just an inbred sign of his polecat heritage. He's 37 1/2% Eu. polecat. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Mommy GG

Oh My! Greta, I think we may have the same ferret! haha! Pudge does the SAME THING! He hides under the bed and pounces when one of the others walks by! Then a wrestling match ensues! Haha!
Oh, I was going to also ask you if Ozzie has 2 little patches of fur missing on his underside right on his back legs. Pudge has this and I think it's from where his fat rubs against his legs. They are perfect symmetrical on either side. ANd when he is just sitting there, you can tell where it rubs. Kinda funny!

I guess it's just Ozzie's way of playing then. He never hurts Itty when he does this, he just startled the dickens out of her and I know his 4 plus pounds of weight is mighty uncomfortable for her. Thanks for your input, Everyone! Erica, I haven't noticed the bare spots on the legs you mentioned, but next time Ozzie comes around, I'll check to see if he has those. He's a chubby little bugger!! But lots and lots of fun. Sounds like Oz and Pudge could be from the same litter. hehehe Hugs, Greta
