A few weeks ago when I visited Sandi I fell in love with a big albino boy named Fuzzy. He was abandoned along with another fert in an apartment. Luckily the manager found them and sent them to Sandi's. Fuzzy was bald from adrenal disease so Sandi gave him a Melatonin implant and by the time I saw him he had a beautiful white coat!! I fell in love with him and he became a WW. Somewhere along the way his jaw has been broken and it caused one of his lower fangs to stick up over his upper lip and was causing a place on his face. When I got him home we made a trip to the vet. He got a Lupron shot and his BS was tested. It was low so we started him on a low dose of Pred. Doc couldn't pull the tooth as it is wrapped around his jawbone. So she filed it down just enough to where it doesn't poke him in the face now. He fit right in with my kids and everything was going great until Saturday. He got real lethargic and quit eating his kibble. He'd get up and go pee then flatten out on the floor. Then he'd go back to sleep wherever he stopped. All he wanted to do was sleep. I upped his Pred thinking this would help. But it didn't. So bright and early this AM we headed to the vet. He has a large mass on the left side of his belly. Doc checked it out real good. She said an x-ray wouldn't do any good as all it would show was a mass. She thinks, since his spleen was enlarged when she first examined him, that it may be his spleen. Or it could be a tumor. The only way to tell is to do surgery. Before we headed home today she gave him a lot of fluid, a vitamin K shot and a B-12 shot. If it is his spleen Doc will remove it and also take the left adrenal gland while she's there. If it's a tumor we won't wake him up after surgery. We will let him go to the Bridge. This is one of those times when we really have no choice as to what we can do. She said that we could leave him with her overnight but we brought him home so we could give him lots of love tonight in case things go bad tomorrow. Please pray for Fuzzy that he comes through this surgery. He hasn't been with us for long but he has a special place in our hearts.
