I have called the lady and told her that I cannot take the babies.I called the vets around here and they want over $700 bucks a piece to spay and neuter the girls. That would have depleted my fur kids emergancy funds. I was leary anyhow as all they were asking was $65, now I see why they arent vet checked etc. We have decided that our business is large enough for now and if we leave things as they are and an oppourtunity presents itself....we have room to rescue at least two. I think I would feel much better rescuing fuzzies who really need a good home and tghe love we have to give. Thanks so mcuh for the information and help. We will be waiting for the ferrets out there who need us when the time comes.Until then we shall love and pamper and enjoy being owned by our Silly Sweet Seven.

I agree that you made a wise decision, gf. That's a great deal of $$$ just for spaying each of those little girls. Bless you for keeping your minds and your hearts open for two unfortunate fuzzies who can really benefit from all you two have to give. Huggers, Greta

I think you made a good sound decision. Taking care of 7 and keeping your vet fund ready is the thing to do.
I'm sorry I must have missed your other post

that is a lot of money for a spay. i knew spaying would cost more than castration, but wow!! i often wonder what happens to the females from backyard breeders. i know most "ordinary" people think theyre getting a deal & have no idea the ferrets die if they arent spayed. sounds like you made the right decision for you & your babies though
