last night he was settled-quite happy to be back in his cage.first thing he did was use the litter pan,i think hed been holding it cause there wasnt a pan in his travel cage. then he ate & went to sleep for the night. this morning he was trying to pull the bars off his cage to be out as usual, even climbed the inside of his cage to make his point. i thought he would come out & walk around, maybe realizing hed had surgery yesterday. he wants to climb & get into things like normal.i set him in the big cage while i was cleaning it & he looked around & decided since i was no fun today hed chew on their super chew. i had to lock him up after that cause he was being ornery. i did put him in his harness for a WALK thru the house. he tried to turn it into climbing, wresting with the pup & asking me to take him outside in the mud. i wouldnt let him, so he layed in my arms for some cuddling then i put him home. obviously he didnt read his docs post op instructions!! he has no meds so its not like he doesnt feel pain from his surgery. the dogs ive had fixed never wanted to move for a few days after their spay,Elmo wasnt this determined when he was done. this Hoggle baby is crazy.
i guess it didnt help that i waited to have him fixed when he was having his own private breeding season.he turned into a little monster lately-trying to pull ferrets thru their cage bars & climbing to the ceiling on furniture if he could. he took poor old Flower right out of my hands the other day, grabbed her by the top of her head & was gonna take her under the bed! i had to pry her out of his grip. thats why the sudden decision to get him fixed, i didnt think it beneficial to anyone to wait any longer!now i just have to keep him from running, jumping, climbing, etc for a week
