My kids are getting old. I am down to three now and the ferret room seems empty. The three I have are getting old for ferrets. Baby Bear is 7, Capt. Crunch is 5 and Sparkles is 4. All are in great health and doing great and still act a lot like kits. Toodles lived to be 9 so I am hoping that the rest of my kids will live as long. She was healthy right up to the end and went downhill in a hurry once she contracted adrenal problems. She was a Marshall Farms ferret but Baby Bear and Capt Crunch are private breeders and Sparkles is a Marshall ferret. So everyone please keep your fingers crossed that my remaining kids stay healthy.

JD?!?!?! Is that really you? Glad to see you again. Good to hear that your babies are all doing good. I saw them and gave them some loving one day while at was at Dr. V's and you had them in "ferret day care"! They are all still as sweet as can be.

Hi JD, good to see you. I never had a bunch of ferrets like you did, but then I didn't do rescue work either. Three is such a nice number especially when "we" aren't getting any younger LOL That "we"...I speak for myself

Hi JD~ It's so good to see your post again. Your little 2 y/o is not an 'older' ferret at all. In fact, that's the prime of ferret life. If you have two babies that are from private breeders, chances are they'll have long, healthy lives. My Cinco was a Marshall ferret and he was just short of 8 y/0 when lymphoma took im from me within just a few days. Nada was from a private breeder and shelived to be over 9 y/o, just as your 9 y/o did. Three fur kids is a very nice number ... not too difficult to keep up with or to keep clean. Right now I have 2 kids ... Ozzie a 3 or 4 y/o domestic ferret/Eu. polecat mix Ozzie was a rescue) , and Itty, a 5 y/o silver mitt little girlie. Oz Man is a sable mitt. Both my babies are healthy, active and like yours, they both behavre like kits. So chin up, gf! You just may have ferrets for a long time to come. Huggers, Greta
