I came home from work and found Sissy had slipped into a coma. I am holding her in my arms right now. She is cold to the touch, non-responsive, barely breathing. I really have no clue what is keeping her here. She is more gone than not. I told her all about the Bridge. I hope she goes there soon.

We ended up taking Sissy out to the vets. She was helped to Bridge about 2:30 am. I just couldn't watch her struggle any more.

Oh, Spacy Dear, I am brushing the tears from my cheeks as I write this. Just yesterday I wanted to post to ask you how Calypso is doing, but haven't managed yet to learn to post on the pro board. Calypso, TT, Nada and Cinco are all waiting for you at the bridge. They'll show you around and make sure you find the best playgrounds, the best treats and the best hidey holes in the whole place. Spacy, My heart goes out to you. God bless comfort and strengthen you as your loving heart heals. (((((Hugs))))) Greta

I am so sorry that Calypso had left you and moved to the Bridge. But she is not alone!! I talked to all of my kids at the Bridge -- about 15 of them -- and told them to watch out for your baby and help her adjust to her new home and new life, full of health and fun!! She will be there to greet you when it is your time to join her. Until then, look up into the night sky and you will see that one star that seems to be brighter and twinkle just a little bit more than the others. That is your Calypso looking down on you and letting you know that, even though she misses you, she is OK and will be there to meet you and dance and dook for you again.

I'm so sorry Calypso had to leave. You gave her one final gift, and it's a special gift indeed.
Like the others have said, there's a whole group of ferrets at the Bridge from MNFF and from here. I'm guessing that there's a BIG barbecue going on right now to welcome Calypso.

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but I went through that same dragged out ordeal with Tina....she was a fighter too. Tina finally died in her sleep but she was light as a feather and could barely walk but still ate her soup, drank water & sometimes didn't soil in her sleepsack. I can feel for you when you say, "I'm glad it's over". ((((HUGS))))) Joyce

I am so sorry for your loss. I can barely see the tears are streaming. My heart aches each time I read one of these posts as it makes me realize that they are only with us for such a short time. My heart goes out to you. Shadoe

Space, i am so sorry about your little one, I got word from my Lacey, she has been up there a few weeks now, so she knows the ropes already, she was there with the others to show your baby around, Lacey has lots of toys to share ( she steals them from everyone, old habits, ya know ) and she stashed lots of goodies to share. So Sissy is in very good paws indeed. I wish you comfort, and peace.
