We found Baby this morning, after not wanting to eat last night and having a dark, bloody stool, totally nonresponsive. We could tell that she had passed away, but her heart was still beating and her breathing was very shallow. I had to take her in this noon and help her over. Baby was an absolute sweetheart and was our show girl whenever anyone came to our home to meet a ferret for the first time. Baby was the most gentle and curious little one we have had. Now she is without pain and is free to play with all her friends who preceded her.

Sorry to hear of another angel, the picture is my silky that went to the bridge , she cries when another leaves for the bridge. She cries for the one left on this earth who mourns, and tears of happiness for the one who joins her at the bridge, because they now are no longer in pain.  My gift I wish I could give to you If I could turn your tears of sorrow into tears of joy I would. If somehow I could turn back time so you could spend more time I would. If there was some way to make this a happy time for you Then that is what I would give you. These things and more I wish I could do for you. It is a mystery to me why god chooses who goes and who Stays, who suffers and who is happy, maybe someday we Will understand why. For now only god knows why he brings such tears to our eyes. These things I may not be able to give to you, but we can let our loved one live on in our memories. Remember the good times you had together, for in our memories they will live on forever. I am so very sorry, Lacey left me yesterday also, along with my friend"s ferret named Sarah, so all three little girls can make their way to the bridge together, my heart is aching for all of us. I know they are all okay, and we will be together again someday.

Laney - I'm so sorry to hear of Lacey's passing, and also your friend's little Sarah. At least they all have each other now for company. Not a very good way for us to celebrate Valentine's Day though. Hugs to you and your friend.

So many babies leaving at once is so hard to handle. My heart goes out to all three of you. I'm sure they made the journey to the Bridge together and were met by so many others that have gone before them. They are all healthy and whole now and will never be sick again. At night they will be looking down on you all from the twinkling stars in the night sky and will be raining kisses down on you. And they will all be waiting for their families when they too cross to the Bridge and everyone will be together forever.

Thank you all for your kind comments and your kindness. It's strange how quiet the house is when even the smallest of ferrets is gone. We've lost 7 since June, and it's still a shock to us. We went from 14 to 7 in less than a year. We've lost Bonnie, Lolita, Sebastian II, Gretchen, Snickers, Casper & now Baby.

All of us and all of our babies will make that journey across the Bridge sooner or later, but sometimes you just want to ask the Sky to ease up a bit, at least for a little while.
I'm so sorry that your little ones had to leave. They know how much they're loved.
