One of the main base foods I use in my kibble mix was Felidae cat and kitten. They recently decided to change their formula. Reggae has decided he doesn't like what they did to his food. I noticed he was getting a little skinny. I was worried he was sick. But then my roomie asked about the kibble change, so I went and got some to hand feed him and he turned his nose up at it. Then I got a couple of cat treats and he gobbled them like he was starving. So I have had to switch my kibble mix, and have eliminated the Felidae. He is back to eating his kibble, as long as I take it out of the main dish and feed it to him in the living room in his little dish. I have also been giving him a morning soup in addition to the night time feeding that everyone else gets. I just feel so bad for him. He has never been a 'big' ferret, and now he is downright scrawny. I am hoping he puts his weight back on soon.

You're such a great mom to your babies, Spacy. Reggie can't help but gain that weight back with all the special attention mommy is giving to his diet. The extra soup serviing in the morning should be a big help, too. Do you ever use pure whipping cream in your babies' soup? A tablespoonful or so in Reggie's morning offering will do wonders for his weight if he'll accept it. My kiddies are nuts about the cream and Tone their soup is laced with. Please keep us posted on how Reggie does, gf. (I think your boy is getting spoiled. hehehe But then, what are ferrets for, if not to spoil?) Huggers, Greta
