My funny treat eaters

I am sure each ferret has their idiosyncrasies.
Mine happen with treat time.
During the night they sleep in our bedroom, with the door closed
But first thing in the morning when we get up they are at the door to go out into the rest of the house.
They both run to the kitchen, to the side of the one counter and they patiently await until one of us gives then a bandit, or two or three.
They both sit their calmly chomping on them.
The last item they get is a piece of "Bonz" My husband cuts them in quarters, so they don't get a lot of it.
Both will take their piece and then run like "bats out of h-e-l-l" to their rug behind the living room couch and peacefully eat them.
This happened ever single day.

Yeah, they're odd like that. When we were doing pounce treats and N bones, they would all sit wherever they got pounces and eat them, but the Nbones were taken to a corner where no one else could get to them and eaten in private.

Zeus is very picky about his treats. He won't eat the dried liver ferret treats or the ferret bones treats. Lucky for us the dog loves them both. Zeus will eat any flavor of the Bandit treats. He runs to the kitchen as soon as we open his gate and waits at the corner of the counter where his treats are kept. He won't leave until he get his treat. He has my husband trained to give him a treat when he nudges his ankle and looks up at him. You know you just can't resist that I want a treat look.

My husband just said that our ferrets must have gone to the same school together

I have a small plate in my living room to put their tone on (and the kitties like it too! lol) The ferrets will stand by the plate and look at me, then look at the plate, then at me, then the plate.....all while licking their lips....until I give in and tone them. :-)

I love how they let us know just who is really boss.
