With great sadness, I come to tell you that I had Fizzle put to sleep this afternoon. She was very ready, you could see it in her eyes and lack of actions. The vet tech took her from me to put the IV in, and I gave her an n-bone to keep her occupied. She came back still eating the n-bone, then the vet gave her the last med and she let the n-bone go, lowered her head and was gone. It was very peaceful and felt right. So now she is finally with Drew. I think that gives me the most comfort, knowing that she's finally with Drew again, they were so bonded. I feel guilty, but it is a bit of relief knowing I don't have to keep poking her to give her fluids, and to clean up the runny poops all over the floor and bedding. I would gladly clean everything up if she had a good quality of life, but the last couple of weeks were rough on her. So now I have only 3 ferrets left. Zoe will leave us soon, though you'd never know anything is wrong with her right now. Then there's still chucky and max. The boys are good together, they play real rough and that makes me feel good knowing they have a playmate, zoe doesn't play rough, she's a girly girl. Please say a prayer that Fizzy met up with drew, koda and roofie right away. Thank you for all your love, prayers and support. It helps knowing that others have gone through the same thing and feel the same way about these special creatures.

I'm sorry for your loss -- I feel like we are kindred spirits with so much heartbreak at the same time. It sounds like Fizzle went peacefully. It was the best gift you could have given to a beloved ferret.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Fly high on your beautiful new wings Fizzle. I know that you and Drew are having a ball dooking and dancing up at the Rainbow Bridge.

Yes, you loved Fizzle right to the very end, choosing to relieve his suffering and releasing his soul to be with Drew again at the Bridge.

Hey Greg, yea it's me. Fizzy and Drew are finally together again. I don't know if you saw her last itme I was there, but she could barely walk with her crippled feet, and wobbled all over the place. But if Chucky tried to play with her, she would chrip at him, and try to chase him in her old lady gate while she chided him. He would turn away with his head down knowing he was in trouble. Even at nearly 8 yrs old she was the queen bee. Did Linda tell you about Max? He was a new little boy who she just got in, he's 4 months old. I know if you saw him you would want him. He is nearly all white with a black tail and and a stripe down his tail. He is deaf, but he is on full blast the minute he wakes up, there's no slow or high with him, it's full on all the time. We just love him, and he's so good for chucky. We got him the same day Linda lost her Max, so in honor of him, we named our boy Maximus, Max for short. I'm sorry to hear about your little girl also. It's so hard when they are in the hospital for a while, then lose their fight.
Hope to see you next time I'm at Linda's.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that little Fizzle left your in a so soft and peacefuly way. But that makes me cry to read your post with the view in my head of Fizzle with her n-bone. Remind me the last breath of my Anika. How that hurts. I share your pain and my heart bleeds again With love, Yukka

Thank you everyone for all your love, thoughts and prayers. It helps knowing others love these little angels as much as you do, and hurt with you when you lose them.
