Time for the yearly well ferret visit to the vet. Time for rabies shots and license renewal and for Scout and Powder to just show off how beautiful they are. They were actually in the motel in October when Joe and I had to go to Pittsburgh for a wedding and they will be spending almost the entire month of January there. It's a good thing they are so well behaved and the vet techs like to play with them. We are going to Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand for a long awaited vacation and we are so very lucky to have them be able to stay at the vets. We rent a double adjoining cat kennel and slide the wall back so they have double room. They are well taken care of and because it is in my vets I have full confidence in them and can relax knowing they are well cared for

Visit went well, Powder and Scout of course behaved and gave the vet and vet tech lots of kisses The vet always used nutrical or ferritvite to side track the ferrets when giving them their shots, but neither Scout nor Powder like that so I brought a little bowl and put ferretone in it while they awere getting their shots and that was fine. Powder, my petite queen and the ruler of Scout weight only 1.7 pounds while Scout the big boy is 3.6, more than twice her weight, but as I said she is the ruler.
It was funny, the vet and vet tech were commenting on how nice it was to see ferrets with lots of fur since most people only bring in their ferrets when they are old and something is wrong. Mine make yearly visits and then of course they are boarded there when we go on vacation.
All went well and I love the fact that my vet does give a 10% senor discount.

Glad it went well. We're taking Abita in on monday to get the Suprelorin implant we have siting at the vet and get her BG checked. We're taking Rosa along so the vet can see how good she looks after her implant..
