Zeus being cute.
Zeus is six years old now and a only child. He has Sammy out dog to play with or us. Our great ferret vet moved 1 1/2 hours away which is to far in an emergency. This is why Zeus will be our last ferret. We have loved and been owned by ferrets since 1997.

I totally understand where you are coming from. We also have decided that Scout and Powder will be our last. We have been owned by ferrets since 1984 and luckily our vet is only ten minutes away, but we still have made this decision and it certainly is not an easy one

He is just beautiful. As big a pain Scamp can be, and as heavy an anchor ferrets can be, we're not done with ferrets yet.

We don't really want to be without a ferret. We feel we can not be the best parents to a ferret with no vet close by. Ferrets have the tendency to get hurt or sick without much warning. When our vet moved his practice so far away we looked around for another closer to us. There are lots of vets that will take ferrets. Just none of them know ferrets. We found out the hard way what happens when a vet that looks at ferrets that knows nothing about them. That is how we lost Caesar to something that could have taken care easily.
