Since I shared pics of the newbies, I thought I should show off the other 5 :-)
Lucky, who is around 6 yrs old and still going strong. (he started out as brown with a white spot on his head and within 6 months was white with a black spot that gets smaller every year)
Diva, 4 years old. She started out a panda and is slowly turning to a silver (has a striped tail tho)
Boone the fat and sassy one, 4 yrs old
Loki 4 yrs old. He crawls in the pet stroller all the time cuz he loves to go bye bye
Fezzik 2 yrs old. My (mostly) sweet boy. Gives the best kisses!
The 3 newbies are starting to settle in. Molly liked tone right away, and now I got Herman and Em hooked on it as well. Actually got Molly and Em to play the other day. Never underestimate the power of a plastic bag! lol Herman is a little skittish. But, him being deaf, I'm not surprised. Plus the lady I got them from was telling me that when he bit she would hit him with a rolled up newspaper.... *sigh* He hasn't tried to bite me at all, but I am aware of him being deaf and make sure he sees me before I touch him. Molly is quite the kisser. Em is a snuggle bug. They took right to my kibble blend (I use high quality grain free cat cuz I can't really get ferret kibble here. I use Pure Vita Chicken and Natural Balance Duck.) They still pretty much avoid the other ferrets. Fezzik has been being a bit of a bully to them. I'm hoping it all settles down soon.

I have realized that within the next 2-3 years I will be in for quite a bit of heartbreak. Seeing as one of the 8 I have is 6, six are 4, and one is 3. But for now I will just enjoy them and try not to worry about the future....

You have some beautiful babies! You can sure see the difference when ferrets are well cared for. I helped out at a rescue some years ago. It broke your heart to see how bad neglected ferrets look and acted. Love, good food, and proper care make all the difference.

I agree with Dee. I don't think any ferret is beyond helping. Some are more stubborn and scared and just need more time. We currently have 4 that are going to be 4 this Year, and the other 2 are 3.

This is really the first time that we have only younger ones, though both are a little over 4 now. You are right, you love and care for them as long as you can.
