Some ex-ferret friends.
I actually met Suzie and Lily on line years ago and have been visiting them in AZ every year since.
I met Lily first as she was a member of Ferret and managed another site called My Norwegian Ferret Family.
It was actually becuase of Lily that I got into graphics. Her MSN group had these real pretty pages and Ferret was managed by someone who just used those "paint can" ones. When I took over ferret, I asked her how to do it and she taught me, but we were both using other peoples things and I wanted to make my own.
My second visit to Lily's we took a ride and met Suzie. Suzie had two ferrets and Lily had probably 7. I was in ferret heaven.
After that I would stay with Suzie as she lived alone in a mobile home while Lily worked, plus at the time both Suzie and I smoked.
We had these ferret gettogethers. Rambo Ferret and his family would come, Dee and Her husband (And she would make these fantastic deserts) and a couple of other people.
Then a few years ago, Suzie had to give up her mobile home and moved in with her daughter in Maricopa. And my visits continues and Lily would drive over for an evening of dinner and chat. But no longer are the other big get togethers possible.
So the tradition continues. I leave on Tuesday for Suzie's in AZ and towards the end of the week we will drive to Rimrock where Lily now lives and spend the night with her. Then after a week in Az I will fly to Palm Springs to stay with long time friends, Steven and Joe. Steven and I went to high school together and every years when my second part of my trip would be to LA to stay with my friend Bill, they would either come in for the night or we would go there place for the weekend. Last year my friend Bill died of cancer, but again the tradition continues, only I will be going alone to Palm Springs.
I have enjoyed these years trips for over 10 years now, and I hope to continue them as long as I am able.
My husband stays home with the fuzzies and takes care of the home from and then later in the year he will take one of his dries up north to spend time in Pittsburgh. These little separate vacations, help solidify our 43 year marriage LOL
i WILL have my laptop with me so I will be around.
