I took Mogli and Pandora to our new vet to get them des implants. We've also had a couple cases of loose stools and prolapses, and both of the fuzzies left pudding poops in the exam room. Moges has a prolapse I had not seen before. They both had good exams otherwise and got gassed for the implants. Pandy was not happy with that huge implant needle but at least she didn't bite the vet. It was like they both did the dead ferret sleep for 10 minutes, but both are fine.
.
Mogli figured out how to get out of the stroller in the waiting room by opening he velcro. Pandy was too big to get thru the hole, lol.
So the vet prescribes metro and enro just in case the loose stools and prolapses are caused by helicobacter. Last time I bought those in FL was a while back, but both scripts were under $20. Here in TN the one pharm wanted $92. And in FL you could get a lot of antibiotics for free. My hospital pharm can get the enro for 27 bucks but not the metro. So, since we have no diagnosis and Lola got over it, we'll just wait and see for now and treat the prolapse. It's not like serious diarrhea, just pudding poops. Another stool test was negative for parasites. We're going to try taking one food out of their diet for 2 weeks at a time on the possibility one of their formulations has changed. We're also going to look for recalls.
Pandy under gas
The Suprelorin F injector is huge. I couldn't watch, even after they were gassed, and I've injected quite a few ferretonin implants
