Miss Prissy was helped across the Bridge today. She just became too weak to get around. Her 9th birthday was just 8 days ago. She was a Real Canadian and had the fighting spirit that goes with the name, and lived in Ontario, Florida and Tennessee USA. As a younger sprite, she only had one ferret friend, and would attack any others. She also refused to be caged, and broke 2 canines trying to get out. When we brought her, Dar24, Jaffa, Kahlua and Boodles from Canada to Florida in 2011, she spent the entire trip sleeping on the floor between my feet or in my lap. But she loved her people. She also had some favorite stuffed toys. To be honest, when Dar and I figured out we would be spending the rest of our lives together, I looked forward to meeting Jaffa but dreaded meeting Priss. I told Dar that Priss and I needed to talk about picking on any of my ferrets. It turned out that Jaffa was the bigger bully. Prissy just wanted to be left alone, while Jaffa would actually go looking for trouble. And why not. He was 2-3 times as big as the rest. Prissy's passing marks the end of an era. She was the last of the 9 ferrets that we owned when we got married 4 1/2 years ago. That's right, 9 ferrets in 4.5 years. With Kahlua, her only ferret friend This is Dar's favorite pic and favorite tag to this day We love you Priss Priss. I hope you and Kahlua can snuggle again

What a beautiful "love story" and a fitting memorial to one of our queens. I will add Prissy to the memorial pages later today. It is amazing how they colors change from baby to adult.

My Dear Priss Priss, Came home the same day I lost my first ferret Booder to a tragic accident (May 24th 2007) My daughter picked her for me. She was a lovely fiesty 11 week old RCF kit, and of course ferrets being what they are she stole my heart instantly. Priss Priss has travelled to a lot of places. She loved to go on our four yearly camping trips, on walks and I even snuck her in to a NASCAR Race in Michigan. But mostly, I remember how much she loved to go for walks.. When I seperated from my ex and got divorced, I lived alone for a year exceptt for my four lovely fuzzies,, and Prissy was always there to cheer me up when I was having a hard time adjusting to single life. My little Diva I called her. She hated all ferrets except Kahlua. Then Prissy, her sister and brothers and I took on a colossal 1200 mile trip, moving from Ontario to Florida to marry my soulmate and love of my life Chris (Smokeyyoshi) As he mentioned she was an awesome traveler.. The only one who rode not in a cage.. Of course cause Priss Priss was our Diva who hated bars..lol Once we were in Florida our little Diva settled into middle age and was quite mellow compared to her Canadian days where she spent most of her time trying to kill her brothers Jaffa and Boodles.. But she passed the paton to Jaffa when we got down south..lol She did a lot of travelling in Florida as well,,, even 5 hours away to Fort Myers where she met Heidi ( Huronna)..lol by that time she was well into senior yrs.. She lived in florida for 4.5 yrs and the night before we left we took her for one final walk on the beach. She was quite elderly at this point.. but again she sure enjoyed her walk.. Then Prissy went on one final 685 mile trip to settle here in TN.. Her months here she really started to show her age and to decline in health.. But Prissy being the fighter she is never ever gave in.. Her body gave up but not her mind. It was terribly hard to make the decision for her, because I know she wanted to still keep trying.. but her poor body was done.. I promised my girl I would be there to the very end and she would never be alone and that is how it went. She was very spoiled,, very loved and very cherished right up to her last moments.. End of an Era my precious Canadian Diva.. May you DIP and never struggle anymore.. Love Mommy & Daddy

I am so sorry to hear that Miss Prissy has gone an left a very large hole in both of your hearts. I know from reading your posts that she was a beautiful little queen. She loved her walks and was not one to be caged. She can now have all the walks she wants and no cage. We will all miss seeing her new beautiful pictures and reading stories about her adventures.

In a place of rainbows, Prissy dances and plays. She is smiling, because she left with a heart full of love. Now a new bright star is shining in the night sky. Watch carefully and you'll see her winking. When you feel that unexplained warm feeling in your ear, that's her saying hello. When you feel something brush your ankle, she stopped by to say hi.
