Samantha has decided shes taking over Elmo's place under a desk in my room.Elmo always went under there & took his favorite toys under to play or sleep. it was HIS spot, the others rarely paid any attention to it. Samantha went under there with him a few times these past few months but never really tried to take it, just observe i guess. last night & tonite she has been taking toys under there frantically-as many as she can get ahold of.kinda like shes possessed. maybe shes taking over for Elmo, shes certainly doing a good job!! she does remind me of him in a few ways, even her markings are a little similiar. she also wrestles with my young hob,Hoggle. hes 9 months old, probly 4 lbs or better & she can beat him up. she also hangs onto his neck & gets a ride around the room. id say she only weighs 1 lb or barely over it. so silly to see that tiny girl beating up giant Hoggle!

Samantha is your little matriarch gf, and isn't letting any other fuzzy get ahead of her. hehehe Poor Hoggie doesn't stand a chance no matter how much he weighs. My Nada was the smallest of my crew ... just over one pound ... and she kept both my boys and my likttle Itty right where she wanted them constantly. Once Nada bonded with another ferret in my business though, she looked out for them as if they were her children. Hugs, Greta

;D LOL Ok You do have ferrets and what beautifull ones they are. You must live in the U.K. casue I see your male isn't fixed. Leave it too me to see things like that. You know it seems like girls no matter how small they are they will take on the boys. I had a female that was like that. LIke Greta said female will put the guys in their places. You go girl. What wonderfull photos these are. Again thank you so much for shairing with us. Hugs and kisses too the fuzzies. love and God bless. Sheila[[glow=red,2,300][/glow]

nope, Hoggles not fixed. he probabaly will be within 6 months, depends on him. he already lives in his own cage, hes been way too rough to live with anyone else for several months. Samanthas the only other youngun & shes only 2-3 months older than him so they grew up together. she has supervised playtime with him otherwise, neither would have a playmate. the old people arent into the rough stuff anymore! some days Hoggles just too worked up to be around Samantha,i think hes listening to the voices that come from under his tail those days! actually i live in Maryland-not the uk!! i just found a lady who has whole babies sometimes. Elmo was left whole till he was nearly 2. that definately helped make him who he was. he also lived to be 7 1/2 with no adrenal, insulinoma or other issues-except the tumor/lymphoma which he had the last 6 months. im hoping Hoggle will also be healthier than the pet store ferrets. as for the matriarch thing,Samantha isnt yet, she still gets told what to do by Flower. Flower is my bossy old lady shell be 7 in Feb. she had a problem with the babies the first few months,it took a long time to convince her they could live here! occasionally therell be some squeals from a bed & i know one of the girls crawled in with the other. Flowers deaf so squeals about things. Samantha doesnt like it & usually leaves her to the bed. the girls do play & get along but sometimes Flower has to make sure shes still boss!!

Interesting story. It's not often then people get whole ferrets as most breeders don't want other breeding. I hope he has a long and healthy life. You bother deserve it.
I used to live in Maryland, long time ago. 2 years in Clinton and another 3 in Laurel. I enjoyed my time there
