After a long battle with several different diseases and several medications to try and control these diseases my little Crash Man will be helped to the bridge tomorrow morning.
He's currently on 4 kinds of medications for his heart failure and insulinoma and they aren't really working. I refuse to start him on anymore. I won't do that to him. His breathing is heavy, he's not able to walk long distances due to his heart and being crippled. He's having trouble getting to where he needs to poop. He's skinny despite his soup feedings but has a huge belly from the fluid which also makes it hard for him to walk on his bad leg. At his last vet visit last week they also took an x-ray to check out his heart and think there's a mass on his liver. His bloodwork came back normal a couple weeks ago but that can happen.
As of now he's still enjoying his soupies and his face rubs on my carpet after eating soup. I haven't seen him eat kibble in who knows how long. Since getting linoleum flooring in my room I have bought several washable throw rugs for him to be able to get around on.
This is such a hard decision like it always is. Crash is a very special ferret. Everyone knows this who has met him. Such a tough boy despite everything he's been through in his life. I will miss him. If everyone could light a candle for him tonight and tomorrow morning we would appreciate it. His appt. is around 8 in the morning. He will go with dignity like this special boy should.

Everything went very smooth yesterday. Crash left us licking his tone with his girlfriend Willow whom I took along with us. We then went home for the rest of the girls to say their goodbyes. We then had an appt for a private cremation. Crash's ashes are now with his brothers Milo.
