Hello - it's been awhile

I was having home PC problems, with not enough money to fix them, so I've been mainly accessing the internets from the public library - support your public library. I have been seriously neglecting this board. However, that has changed. A friend from the Terry Pratchett world has sent me a surplus laptop, allll the way from Canada. I'm getting used to a laptop - I need to get a mouse - and the Debian OS with which this is loaded.\; interesting. Now I have to figure out how to transfer the old files, including the birthday salutes and other writings, from the old CPU. That'll come in time.

I am doing as well as can be expected. Money is still very tight. The carcinoma isn't bothering me all that much. The fundraiser is still ongoing.

So... Just checking in. Happy belated birthdays to everyone.
