It is really hard to believe that a year has passed with Powder being one of our "children" and in a few days Scout will have been here a year also. Right now I aM on CA for a week visiting my best friend while he is in rehab. He had a 14 hour surgery about a month ago and by the end of next week he will be going into a temporary apt in San Francico for a few months while he is having chemo and radiation. During the past week I have gone with him to see the Dr and have made numerous phone calls for which he has been unable to do.
Friday, Joe, my hubby took Powder and Scout. For their yearly exams and shots. He said they were perfect little angels. but of course! I will be flying back to Tampa on Tuesday, but will be returning to San Fran around the 10th of JAn again for another week.
Can't wait to see those little fuzzier and Joe said that Mac is still doing great....another miracle man

I know what you mean. Abita, Pandora, Mogi (Smokie) and Yoshi have been with us over 2 years already. They're still as playful as kits.

I am sure it feels like just yesterday when Powder and Mac became part of your lives. Isn't amazing how ferrets become such a normal part of our lives so fast. They come us lots of different ways and we love them so much. My husband and I were just talking about our two. Our baby Zeus is going to be 5 years old this coming year and Zoey our little girl will be 7. It seems like Zeus that big deaf kit should still be a baby. The way he acts people that do not know ferrets would think he was a young one. Zoey still does the ferret dance just not as often as she once did. She still comes running to soup time and ferretone time like she did when she was young.

I was devastated when my first ferret disappeared 7 years ago. I haven't been without ferrets since and can't imagine not having them anymore. I can't believe Zoey is almost 7. I so wish Poppy and Alice would have been here that long.
