(Skippy, a Calypso Singer dressed in a flowery shirt and one of those fringe-y straw hats, comes forward. He's backed by similarly-dressed Skippys with guitars and ocarinas and all that stuff, plus a beret-wearing beatnik Skippy with a pair of bongos. Calypso Skippy begins to sing.)
Calypso Singer Skippy: DAY-O! DAY-AY-AY-O! Daylight come and me wan' go home. DAY!
Beatnik Skippy: Wow, man, I'll have to ask you not to shout like that.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well...
Beatnik Skippy: It's like right in my ear, man.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, it goes with the song, you know.
Beatnik Skippy: Yeah, but don't hum in my ear, man.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, it's a fairly calypso shout.
Beatnik Skippy: Yeah, but like don't stand next to me, man.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, the shout go with the bongo drums.
Beatnik Skippy: Well, not my bongo drums, man, I mean move away.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, I don't see why...
Beatnik Skippy: No, no, no, stand over next to the guitar, man.
Calypso Singer Skippy: He sent me over here.
Beatnik Skippy: Yeah? Well then sing soft, man. You know, I mean like, wow.
Calypso Singer Skippy: OK.
Calypso Singer Skippy: DAY!
Beatnik Skippy: It's too loud, man.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Day!
Beatnik Skippy: That's better.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Eez-a-day eez-a-day eez-a-day eez-a-day eez-a-day-ay-o-o! Daylight come and me wan' go home.
Beatnik Skippy: Yeah, man.

Calypso Singer Skippy: Eez-a-day-ay-ay...
Beatnik Skippy: It's too shrill, man. It's too piercing.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Yeah, well, I don't see why...
Beatnik Skippy: No, it's too piercing, man. It's too piercing.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, I gotta do the shout.
Beatnik Skippy: No, man, it's too piercing. Like, I don't dig loud noises.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, you ruin the whole --
Beatnik Skippy: Piercing.
Calypso Singer Skippy: -- song, is what you do.
Beatnik Skippy (standing up): Yeah, well, tough, I'll take my bongos and go, man, because the whole thing is, like, bugging me anyhow.
Calypso Singer Skippy: Yeah, well, wait a minute, I won't shout...
Beatnik Skippy (picks up bongos): No, I'm a-cuttin', man, like I didn't wanna make this gig in the first place.
Calypso Singer Skippy: No, no, wait a minute, I'll be soft.
Beatnik Skippy (sits down): Yeah? Well then, back off of me, man. It's too piercing.
Calypso Singer Skippy: OK. (Walks a few steps away.) How's this? DAY-O!
Beatnik Skippy: Too loud, man.
Calypso Singer Skippy: OK. (Walks a bit further away.) DAY-O!
Beatnik Skippy: Too loud, man, I can still hear you. Would you mind leaving the room?

Calypso Singer Skippy: Well, that's how the song goes, see, it goes: Hide the deadly black tarantula!
Calypso Singer Skippy and Backup Skippys: Daylight come and me wan' go home.
Beatnik Skippy: Is that it? Can I leave now?
Calypso Singer Skippy: Oh, not yet, we've got a big finish.
(Calypso Singer Skippy runs out. Sound of door closing.) [Muffled] Day! Eez-a-day eez-a-day eez-a-day eez-a-day eez-a-day-ay-o-o!
(Sound of doorknob rattling. Further sound of doorknob rattling. Calypso Singer Skippy bangs on door.) Calypso Singer Skippy: [Muffled] Hey!
