We were finally able to get together with Heidi and Dara and Bob Thompson in Fort Myers beach. Dara is aka Snapper13 on forum.ferret.com. I've known her since I joined in 2008. They moved to Naples from Chicago this summer. Here we all are in front of our little vacation cottage.  |

They are still compounding the 2000 mcg/4 month depot Lupron for ferrets
The cost if about $245 , your vet has to call in the perscription and then I always call them with my credit card.
They send it directly to me and as soon as it arrived, usually withing a couple of days, I make the appt for my vet to give it to my ferret

Thanks for the info. The last time I was able to get lupron was 2 years ago for MOe, and his second dose had gone up from $55 to $71 in 3 months. I
I asked Dara about the photo. I'm waiting for her permission to post it elsewhere. In almost 7 years on the other board I only ever saw her pic a coupe times so I want to make sure it's ok.

It's ok. Ferret is a public site and I just gave my people the link to it
I made an appointment for Mac on Friday and will be consulting with Vet to see about getting him another shot.

We made it home with all 9 ferrets intact. Prissy even slept on my arm for a bit on the drive, and she never does that. Is anyone else having isues with photobucket again? now I don't seem to be allowed to edit my pics anymore... Missy Prissy. She is doing much better now, btw. She was climbing all over the car between naps.  A few walkies pics. We never got them to the beach because of the weather and jellyfish. We didn't even swim in the gulf ourselves. It rained every day and there were jellyfish and other stuff washing up on the beach so we never even swam in the Gulf. The beach was pet friendly, but we never took the ferrets there for those reasons. The ferrets did great, with only one or two skirmishes involving Rosa, and Lola was the only one who we had to police up poop after. Prissy recovered from her flu and was running around with the rest the last couple days. When they got home, they tore around the house for 2 hours and suddenly all was quiet.
