I walked by the cage and saw Jaffa laying between the cardboard bed and the ladder, which he does because he likes sleeping on the plastic floor. He made a couple whimpering noises and his front legs were twitching. I thought dreaming, so I patted him on the head and no reaction. I picked him up and he was totally limp. I Called his name a few times and gave a light shake. Still nothing after half a minute. Now I'm thinking seizure so I pulled out the Karo when I felt him move a tiny bit, so I looked at him and he's looking at me through half-open eyes. Then he proceeds to plant a big wet kiss right on the lips. Jaffa has never done that sleep scare before. It needs to be banned from the ferret trick book. He's too dang big to be flopping around in your arms like a warm furry water balloon. I was imagining having to stop at Dar's work to tell her Big Ol' Jaffs was gone on my way to my job. If she would have been here to help we would have tested his BG on the spot. I put him back in the cage and he climbed in the bed on top of Rosa.

that ferret dead sleep is enough to give us gray hair and I don't know about you but I have quite enough of it already. Even Mac who is over 8 has never had one, I think I would have a heart attack if he did because of his age. Now Scout does sleep in some of the strangest positions but so far no DFS
So how much addition gray hair did you get?

Bad boy Jaffa! You scared daddy half to death! I hate it when they do that. Mine have done that to me more often than I care to remember. I don't care how many times they do it always scares me out of my wits!

Oh Lordy.... Brings back memories of Gizzy. He used to do this quite often. Scared the peediddle right out of me.
