Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,
As we in the USA celebrate the Fourth of July Independence Day holiday, it seems appropriate to reach out one more time to ask if you can please help me to help Fisher House in support of our brave men and women – and their families – in the United States Military.
I have included several very short videos at the end of this email to give you a more personal insight into the work Fisher House does to touch people’s lives.
It is not easy to ask for donations – and goes against my nature in general – however, I am so very passionate about Fisher House’s great work, and I greatly admire our Military and Veterans, so here I am, reaching out.
I am raising funds for Fisher House by once again participating in Team CGI’s community racing team for 2014. I will run the Athleta Esprit de She 10K in Tempe, Arizona on October 2nd – a night race sponsored by the same organization that coordinated the Iron Girl event I ran last year for Team CGI.
No donation to this fundraiser is too small – there is no minimum amount – even a $1.00 donation would add up to help. If everyone on this email donated just $1.00, there would be a large donation in total to help this fine non-profit organization.
? You may donate by credit card on my fundraising page located at: www.teamfisherhouse.org/goto/suzanneisham2014
? Or you may write a check made out to ‘Fisher House’ and mail it to me at: Suzanne Isham, 479 S. Seawynds Blvd., Gilbert, AZ 85233 – I will ensure Fisher House receives the check with the proper paperwork to add to my fundraising tally.
I think all of us recognize how it feels to have a loved one in the hospital and not be able to be by their side, or to be in the hospital, and be separated from our family when we need them most. Fisher House helps veterans, military members and their family have free, safe, comfortable housing during their times of greatest need, and Fisher House’s programs extend to do even more in other charitable areas for our troops and Veterans.

Video: A Home Away From Home - This particular photo story takes a look into the Fisher House of Cincinnati and the life of a retired Navy veteran with terminal breast cancer. Here you discover the difficult, unexpected, and tragic obstacles he has faced since the discovery and how the kindness of a few have made his life a little easier:
If you are unable to make a donation, please consider forwarding my email to a friend or family member that might.
Thank you so much for your consideration and time, I appreciate it very much, and wishing all of you a most Happy Independence Day!
Team CGI is part of our company’s CSR Veteran’s Initiative in support of Fisher House’s good work.
Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. These homes are located at major military and VA medical centers nationwide, close to the medical center or hospital they serve. Fisher House Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, using donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members as well as the Hotels for Heroes program using donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge. The Foundation also manages a grant program that supports other military charities and scholarship funds for military children, spouses and children of fallen and disabled veterans.
