After leaving our hotel in Romania we traveled to Giurgiu where during dinner we turned the ship around in the Danube so we were on the other side and therefore we were now in Bulgaria Our first stop was a little town and.... and what was inside? How good are you in languages? And the local habitat We visited a local museum, home of the wealthy And I love local plants and colors After viewing this church we heard the most beautiful voices chanting in the chapel. The acoustics were unbelievable and their 4 voices sounded more like 100 Castles and stronghold abound The countryside could be anywhere A couple of years ago the river cruises were cancelled. There was uncertainty this year also as the flooding along the Danube was high. We were lucky that the water had gone down a bit and were able to traverse it with no problems Another Castle/Fortress I've never seen so many poppies in my life And roses were everywhere The Goddess of the Danube Natural Rock Formations in the distance And Close-up Luckily there were always signs written in English And always the shops for the tourists. These are fantastic. I love the local color ones, especially the dogs. Pet store is awesome. The mountain/rock formations look like here in Arizona. Amazing pics, love the poppies.
