If they are in their cage they want out. If the bedroom door is closed they want out to the rest of the house Well today is something the opposite. I'm having some work done in the bedroom and bathroom so I pulled out their big cage into the living room , left it open and figured they would be happy with all that space. Now way...there they are banging on the bedroom door to get back in.
Wishy washy ferrets
I finally had to put them in the other bathroom and now they are fast asleep in the cabinet under the sinks....nothing there but books and ferret bedding from when Really and Mac used to love to sleep there

No closed doors are permitted at any time. If closed doors are discovered, they must be breached by any means necessary. Ferret rule #13.

Ferret rule # 13 is so true. Mine have the run of the house. If any door is closed, they all need to be in that room now!

With my two, even though there is a plexiglass gate at the bedroom door, they still want to know what's going on on the other side. The carpet is now pulled away from the door frame. Lol

The only carpet I have is in the guest bedrooms which also have plexiglass. But we had to put a wood top where the rug joins the time because their little claws were still able to get at it.
