Cowboy, my dear friend Ann's ferret, will be making his journey to the Bridge tomorrow. Liver cancer is taking him from the world to the next, just as it took my dear Noah. I love Cowboy too ~ and he is Ann's solo ferret, her sweet little guy. Please think of her and light a candle for Cowboy's journey. I know you all understand...I am heartsick for Ann. xo

Oh how sad! That is what took my April We used to worry about adrenal being the big problem, now thre are so many other things It is hard enough when we have multiple ferrets but extra heart breaking when there is only one. My prayers go out to Ann

"Mama", Kit, who was always speaking up with new questions, began. "What are those bright lights in the night sky? " Jill sighed, and wondered if she'd ever get all of Kit's questions answered, before she went to her new home. " Well Kit, each one of those lights in the night sky is a fuzzy like us, that was loved very much. " " Really!" Kit was surprised by this answer. " Yes, little one. Each ferret is sent down to be loved, and to love in return, and make their human recall the joy and beauty in life. When you get your own human, remember to dance and to make them laugh at your antics, and teach them to find happiness in simple things. " " All right, Mama", Kit replied thoughtfully "but how did those fuzzies get up there? " " Well Kit, once a ferret learns what love is, and it's their time to return, Mother Earth takes their body to make beautiful flowers, their soul is sent to romp and play at the rainbow bridge, and their heart, which is full of love, ascends to the heavens to be a single bright star. There they shine their love down on their special human. Love makes the stars shine. Being ferrets, of course some will wink playfully. That's why some of those stars look like they're blinking. " Once they know love, they are released from their pain. Some are very lucky to have someone who loves them enough to help them move on. Then they join the others as a single bright star."

Thank you, Lily, & thank you all for your thoughtful words to me about my little man. He was very brave, & never let on that he was sick until the very end, & it was too late then. My friends here locally have been in the house, telephoning me, keeping me busy, helping me eat, & now, I am finally able to try to catch up a bit online. I just don't have too many words right now - he was pretty much my life. I will get another little goober, as my well-being depends on it.
We are all so lucky to be "ferret people." Bless us all. Thanks again for everything.

Ann, We lost our Poppy a month ago and it was so devastating. We know how you feel. She was the smartest ferret either of us have ever had. Our deepest sympathies for you and yours.

Time will heal a broken heart, but memories will always remain. I think your heart will want to give another a forever home...just take your time if you need it. I thought after we lost Really that Mac would be our last, but here we are with the two young-uns, Powder and Scout and boy do they ever drive us crazy LOL

There will be another, very soon. I can't take it, Huronna. It's much too quiet in here, & I need to take care of a ferret. I wish I could handle more than one, but I just can't. Thanks so much. xoxoxoxoxo

There's a whole bunch of em out there. You'll find each other. Hopefully you won't have to drive 7 hours to meet her. (or him)

I am so sorry to hear about Cowboy going to the bridge. He is a staple here at the board.
I have been away for awhile.
My heart aches.

Thank you Cynde xo
The good news is Reedy found Ann. Reedy is a male kit and sort of champagne cinnamon. Will try and get a pic up soon when I'm not rushing.
Bless their hearts. Never too soon for more love in one's home and life. I know Cowboy approves xo

Oh, that's wonderful. I never expect a new fuzzy to be like the lost one, but there's a space that needs to be filled. I hope he's awesome.
