It really is amazing the color changes and face changes.
Some can be really radical.
When we first adopted Mac he was not sable colored but he was not white either. More brown, and now he is almost all white with a few dark guard hairs.

Flower is now white with a black tail and a few small black spots. Yoshi has always been adorable.
