A friend of our was starring in a play and of course we wanted to see it.
But they live about 2 hours away and the play would not be over until close to 10 PM with dinner afterwards and too far to drive home the same night. They had said we should stay overnight.....but...what about Macs special food and meds. We could not leave him home for that length of time. So they said...heck we have all tile floors, so bring him.
We thought about that and the only other option was to put him in the vet's motel for more days than necessary.
So at noon on Friday we told the newbies to behave and that we would be back on Sat later afternoon. We gave them Big bowl of water and lots of food and they actually didn't even realize we were gone LOL
And we packed Mac's suitcase. Newspapers, paper towels, snug sags, and of course his meds and food. We made sure he went potty before we put him in the carry kennel and off we went. After almost two hours he definitely was ready to get out and we had arrived. We settled him in the bedroom we would be in.
I made the mistake of putting my carry on the floor with my clothes for that evening.....all black, well Mac decided that was a great place to nap and when we checked on him a little while later there he was and my clothes had white hairs all over them. Oh Well, such is life.
Everything went well, and on the way back home we stopped in Sarasota for two hour to see SIL, while there we put Mac in the bathroom, will all his things.
Arriving home it was a big reunion. Powder and Scout were all over Mac.
Where have you been? A little while later I found them all snuggled together on the top shelf of the cage.
Nice reunion.
