Jaffa went to the vet today to get evaluated for adrenal. The vet agreed it's adrenal as there is nothing else that she knows that could cause the hair loss. She was impressed with his demeanor. He didn't like having his temp taken, but who likes a rectal thermometer? It took 2 techs, because they didn't scruff him right, but he did fine. She said they don't do Lupron very often so they'll have to order it. I gave her the name of another vet I have been to that keeps it on hand because she does a lot of birds. Hopefully we can get one dose. Back when we got it for Moe it was ~$70/dose and the vial was $640. If it doesn't work out, we'll go with the des on its own. We just got some melatonin implants so I'll give him one tomorrow.
