I can't tell you for how long it has been...just ages...Mac always slept in the end table drawer on hubby's side of the bed. April used to sleep up on the top shelf of the cage (door always open) and Really would alternate between those places and a hammock under the bed. That was how it was for quite a few years.
Well now, ferrets have change and sleeping places also. Powder loves to sleep on the top shelf of the cage and she can usually be found wrapped around Mac. Scout has decided that he likes the end table drawer, but once in a while you will find him in the pile of ferrets on that top shelf also.
It's nice that they only have a couple of favorite spots so that when I want them, I know just where to find them.
It's funny, we still have a hammock under one of the dining room chairs. That was a favorite place for Mischief and Frack...if you remember those names.
Just thought I would bore you with some memories LOL

That's a cool idea, hammock under chair. We have a bed under the coffee table that is used often. My crew have started sleeping in/under the built-in drawers under my closet. Yoshi and Smokie can actually open the drawers from the front so there's not much to keep them out. It's finally cold enough to wear jeans here and I found Yoshi in one pair, in those drawers, and Jaffa and Smokie in others. I almost felt bad having to roust one of them so I could get dressed, lol. It's amazing how many places they can find to sleep in a place as small as ours. Memories are all we have of the ones that have gone on. They live in our hearts. Not boring to me.... Why, I was just bragging about Eddie yesterday on another forum. He passed in Dec 2012 after dental surgery of all things. As many close calls as he had on our walkies, including almost getting run over by a neighbor, it's like General Patton dying in a jeep crash after the war. He would go for long walks with me without a leash at night. He was my best bud for 2 years, but now we're making new memories with our current crew. We'll never forget any of our fuzzers

What a beautiful photo...ahhhh such memories. And the newbies make new memories for the future. I cannot believe the amount of food these two eat. I filled their bowl yesterday and last night there was not a crumb left in it. I wonder if they are pretending to be squirrels or something and are hiding it someplace. Only time will tell
