He's the one that has been saying no more ferrets. It's too hard for us to do anything So what does he do? Signs up at the shelter as a prospective ferret adopter.
Just this morning we talked about it as they have an albino female. "Powder" And as far as I knew, the decision was it is too difficult to have one on a special soup diet and another one eating regular food. So I spent all day in the dentist and Joe went to the shelter. He said she was as gentle as could be, no biting or nipping at all.
There is a ten day waiting period to see if she is claimed.
So I will keep you posted.

Sounds like you may be making room for another family member.

Earlier this afternoon we both went to the Animal rescue place to see Powder and play with her. My husband was not kidding, she is the sweetest little girl. And I do mean little. I dont' think she is more than about 7-8 months old. And sweet....oh my word. I held her and she didn't ever struggle to get down, gave little kissed and everything. She is a Marshall's...two tattoos on her ear (spayed and descented)
She was brought in on the 9th and they have to hold them for 10 days Then she is examined by their vet and given a rabies shot as is required by the county, Then if she still is not claimed they will call us.
Don't know if we can wait that long, but I have a feeling we will be going for more visits.

Isn't amazing how they find us. A ferret in your home is something that just happens when you need it. You may not know you need a ferret. The best ones are the ones that are chosen for us. I hope Tuesday comes with great news! I can't wait to hear. These three came after I said no more ferrets. Attachments:
