College is taking more of my time. 8 months to go.
I've been interning 1 day a week at a pediatric occupational therapy clinic. It's interesting enough, but I'm looking forward to next semester when I do rehab, which is where I want to specialize. As a dad in his 50s with 2 boys in their 20s, I think I've paid my dues, lol.
we think that Rafiki the cat thinks he's a ferret. He loves playing with them, and despite the fact that he's already 3 times their size, the fuzzies are not afraid to take it to him. Typically, when we hear the cat scream, one of the ferrets has him pinned by the lip. But he's not brutal or anything. He's been caught sleeping with a ferret or 2. Here is is with Poppy a couple days ago
He's getting fixed Thursday. It's likely that Booboo be pts in the next couple weeks. His tumors are growing (the one on his neck is hideous as he keeps scratching it open) and he appears to be wasting. He's losing his fur, and all he does is sleep, eat poop and sleep. He does eat tho, still expects an NBone at night, and has actually let me cuddle him a couple times.
All the other fuzzies are doing great.
Yoshi and Pandy
We've added a couple huge female soft shell turtles and a small one to the daily feeding roster in the pond. Momma, the yellow belly cooter has become very attached to us and will come out of the water to be hand fed.
We've actually thought about taking Momma with us when we move.
Then there is Snowy, the Muscovy duck. She had a couple ducklings back in early August, and the survivor is now almost her size. They both catch bread we toss them, and Snowy will eat from our hands as well. The duckling is in the background at the end of the video.
I'll post some more fuzzy pics soon.
