I didn't have a very good morning . I had a good run, came home, stretched and took Cosima out for her walk. Well we got down two blocks and there was a cat killed in the middle of the road . Right on our main neighborhood road. It must have just happened because I ran that way and he wasn't there when I ran by. No car stopped there though. So I figure between 5:30-6:00am. It was bad. At least he died instantly, but it was really bad. People just walked by not sure what to do. Then the City truck came to remove him. So, I ended up going home and making signs. They say "Are you Missing a Cat? Would have gone missing between 5:30-6:00AM, Tuesday May 14th. Please call (my number) for information". I went back out and hung 10 signs up and asked a few people in houses on that street. Everyone was nice except one girl pulling out her driveway, young, acted like I was burdening her with the weight of the world for the 10 seconds it took me to ask if she owned a cat.........anyway, no one I asked owned a cat or knew if their neighbors did . So I'll see if the owner calls me. If it was my pet cat, I would want to know. I hope I did the right thing. I just keep picturing someone searching the neighborhood for their lost cat . In the meantime, while I was standing there on the sidewalk, some red ants literally attacked me, climbed up my shoes onto my feet and legs and bit me about 100 times. They hurt and now they itch and they swelled up as big as spider bites! All these years in Arizona, camping and hiking and I've never been bit by red ants til now! So what a morning . Okay I vented, sorry.
Good news is that we put Cosima (who is 11 now for those of you that remember when I got her!) on new arthritis meds called Meloxicam, liquid and she not only doesn't fight us (amazing! miracle!) but after just a couple doses we already notice an improvement, big positive difference
