It's been 6 weeks since the Lupron

I'm trying to remember if I mentioned that Mac was beginning to show the first signs of Adrenal.
That tell tail loss of hair on the top of their tail by the beginning of their rump.
Yes there was about an inch or so patch that all of a sudden was without fur.

I didn't know how old Mac was because he was adopted but I know he is at least 5-6.
I don't like to do surgery because it always seems that if you remove one adrenal then the other overworks itself and then you have the same situation in the other.

So I decided to do the Lupron. I have used it on various of my ferrets before with really good results..
And it just so happens that I had a 2000mcg 4 month depot injection in the house because I had ordered it for April, but she passed two days before it arrived.

So when I took Mac to the vet to confirm my suspensions I took that with me.
I wish I would have taken a before photo because I said to my husband the other day...hey look...no skin
The patch of baldness is all filled in with fur and the rest of his body os quite a bit fluffier.

I know I will probably have to repeat this every 8 months or so, at least as far as history here goes with my ferrets, but that's ok,
As long as we can keep those side effects at bay,,,,we'll all be happy

Hee Hee Mac is a big boy
Implants have never seemed to do a thing with my ferrets
I have always been an advocate of Lupron, it is very expensive but the results are unbeatable

Lupron, for me, was every 3 or 4 months. The implant lasted a year on the first one and 8 months on the second, and seemed to do a better job. I did use Lupron first, and then 2 months later the implant. Worked wonderfully.
