We took Galahad in to have his spleen removed and what we thought was a hernia fixed. What we ended up with was very strange. Finally got to talk to the vet, and he said that Galahads internal organs are fine, all look very healthy, including his spleen. However, his left side had no muscle, just fibrous tissue, and the swelling was bloody fluid. That is scary. If it swells again, no surgery, but he'll draw off the fluid. This is a new one on me. Arrgh, wish my ferrets would quit playing stump the vet. Vet even asked to study his body, when he passes.

Strange. Sounds like MS. Didn't know ferrets had that.
What a looker he is. Awesome eyes

What and adorable face he has. Odd malady for a ferret. Glad the vet was able to help him, maybe it won't happy again

I could almost hear the $cha-ching$ every time the vet said, "Hmmmmm.... This is interesting.... I've never seen this before." When we were up to 17 rescues, there was always something new and interesting going on inside of these little boogers.
It sounds like Sir Galahad is in good ferret-vet hands. Bless his little heart.
