Don't know if this will work for everyone but it works with Elvis Fuzz!! Dr. V and I have tried compounding metronidazole(?) with all different flavors for years . . . to no avail!! So I decided to try something different with Elvis. I slightly water down and warm about 1/3 of a jar of Gerber chicken baby food -- don't know about yours but my kids have never liked turkey or BeechNut -- then I add the meds. And since they need some kind of probiotics when on this nasty med I even mix the yogurt in at the same time!! Elvis Fuzz bo-bos it down like he hasn't eaten in a week!!! Hopefully it will work for some of you guys. I have always hated having to give this stuff to my kids as it is always a fight and once they take it they run around gagging and pawing at their mouths until they get rid of the taste. I have tasted the stuff myself and it has to be one of the nastiest meds on Earth!!

I'm not familiar with the drug you've described gf, but I am familiar with the problem of trying to give a nasty tasting med to a sick ferret. Kudos to you for finding a way to mask the awful taste of Elvis Fuzz's yucky doses so he actually loves the stuff! TT used to hate his prednisone. So much so that I dreaded giving it to him. The pred was in a fruit flavored syrup, but stil, TT hated it with a passion. He took it though, and then mommy would always be right there with something to take the bad taste away. I always put the Gerbers chicken baby food meat in my kids' soup. Nada was my only baby who'd eat the baby food right out of the jar. Again, gf. Great, Big Kudos to you! Elvis Fuzz and all your othere ferties are a very lucky bunch of ferrets to have you as their mom. Hugs, Greta

ANother name for this drug is Flagyl that might help. It is the most bitter medicine! But it is used quite often with ferret treatments.
I do the same thing you do Phyllis. I've also mixed it with nutrical. ANything to cover up that bitter taste
